Blanco State Park, 10/5 - 10/7/15

31. Scampsite #19, we camped here with friends for a birthday.  This is a beautiful little park on the Blanco River, which flooded terribly in the Memorial Day floods this year.  The hiking trails were still closed, the bird blind was still missing, but the river was flowing and the campsites were fine.
We drove to the Real Ale Brewery Saturday and enjoyed their new tap room and great craft beers.
Sunday, we walked into town (less than a mile) to visit the antique stores and other shops around the former Blanco County courthouse.  The courthouse is a tourist attraction and was actually used in the movie "True Grit" in 2010.

Scampsite #19, a lovely site and easily big enough for 4.

Blanco River Dam.

The CCC-built concessions building.
